Took a ride up to Detroit to visit my friend Steve and see the cruise on Woodward. Had a good time and then went up to Mackinaw City and camped over night. Rode up to Marathon Ontario and camped over night there, also got bit by someone’s dog. That really sucked. Got up the next morning and continued my ride around Lake Superior. Saw a hospital along the way and stopped in and got my bite checked out. They gave me the ok and I headed on my way. Got 20 miles til the US border and hit a big rock in the road that destroyed my front rim. Not too many options in that part of the continent so I rode the flat at 10mph til I got to Grand Portage Minnesota. Still no rental car places or garages or anything really any options there. I got a room at the casino and called my friend Rick and asked him to pick up my trailer and come get me. He didn’t hesitate and grabbed another friend, drove the 1000 miles and were up there the next night. The trip didn’t end the way I wanted it to but I’m just glad I have really good friends.
